The Center for Hygienic Analysis and Detection

The Center for Hygienic Analysis and Detection was established and granted by Jiangsu Province Bureau of Metrology in 1990. It has become the detection institution of the third justice status. With the reorganization of School of Public Health department in 2001, according to GLP, provincial high-tech research key lab was established in the center. The center has undertaken a great variety of tasks for the safety assessment and function research for healthy food, medicine and medical instrument, pesticide, veterinary medicine, aseptic products, etc.

The center is accredited by SFDA, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Environmental Protection and Ministry of Agriculture of China for toxicological studies.

The center has 51 staff members, 19 of whom have senior technological titles. The center is equipped with advanced instruments. It covers more than 6000m2, 3570m2 used as animal rooms.
