From July 2 to August 27, Nanjing Medical University (NMU) successfully hosted ten international courses under the theme “Innovative Teaching Models + Strategic International Collaboration”.The program established a cross-disciplinary, multidimensional training framework. During the teaching sessions, Professor Shen Lizong, Vice President and Member of the StandingCommittee of the NMU CPC Committee, visited the classrooms and engaged in interactive discussions with the professors.

This year’s program centered on“Global Resource Integration + Local Innovation and Translation”,with a curriculum spanningpublic health, clinical medicine, dentistry, pharmacology, and health policy. Eleven distinguished professors from world-leading universities—such as the University of Oxford, National University of Singapore, and Monash University—delivered the courses. Structured around a progressive three-step model of case-based learning, scenario simulation, and hands-on practice, the program enabled participants to move seamlessly from theory to application. While strengthening strategic international cooperation, the curriculum also emphasized local adaptability, creating an integrated training pathwayfrombasic research to clinical practice to translational application, and offering faculty and students an immersive global learning experience.

By establishing a world-class educational platform, the 2025 International Course Program not only enhanced the cross-cultural leadership and research capacityof NMU faculty and students, but also demonstrated the university’s commitment to educational openness. It has contributed to cultivating outstanding medical professionals equipped with both specialized expertise and a global outlook.
