Visit to Our University by Academician Peter Hegyi from Semmelweis University, Hungary, and Professor Qin Ling from The Chinese University of Hong Kong

On the afternoon of May 30, Professor Peter Hegyi, Academician of the European Academy of Sciences, Director of the Translational Medicine Center at Semmelweis University, Hungary, and European Executive Chairman of the Eurasian Excellence Center for Translational Medicine, along with Professor Qin Ling from the Faculty of Medicine at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Asian Executive Chairman of the Eurasian Excellence Center for Translational Medicine, visited our university. President Hu Zhibin met with the distinguished guests, accompanied by leaders from relevant departments, including the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and the Office of Scientific Research and Development.

During the symposium, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on educational collaboration in translational medicine, international mechanisms for scientific and technological achievement transformation, talent cultivation models for translational research, and the synergistic development of research and education. Professor Hegyi provided a detailed introduction to the strategic development plan of the Eurasian Excellence Center for Translational Medicine and shared advanced experiences from the Translational Medicine Center at Semmelweis University. Professor Qin Ling systematically elaborated on the achievements and future vision of The Chinese University of Hong Kong in international cooperation. The two parties reached a consensus on strengthening strategic collaboration and promoting our university’s deeper involvement in the Eurasian Excellence Center for Translational Medicine network.


During their visit, the delegation also toured the university’s history museum.

The Eurasian Excellence Center for Translational Medicine is an international collaborative platform initiated by leading medical institutions in Europe and Asia. It is dedicated to advancing translational medical research, educational innovation, and cross-border clinical applications, facilitating the rapid transformation of medical scientific and technological achievements through the integration of high-quality resources.
