Vice President Feng Feng Leads Delegation on Visit to the United Kingdom and Hungary

Recently, Vice President of NMU, Feng Feng was invited to the 2023 Jiangsu-UK High-Level University Alliance Annual Conference in the United Kingdom and later visited the University of Pécs in Hungary, including its National Key Laboratory of Reproductive Medicine. Accompanying him were representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and the School of Pharmacy.

      

At the 2023 Jiangsu-UK High-Level University Alliance Annual Conference, Vice President Feng Feng participated in the Presidents’ Forum on behalf of NMU. In his speech, he emphasized that the alliance has effectively fostered pragmatic cooperation between Chinese and British universities. He expressed the hope that this conference would serve as an opportunity to strengthen bilateral communication, enhance consensus on collaboration, expand alliance membership, and explore further opportunities. He also reaffirmed the university’s commitment to actively engaging in alliance activities to elevate exchanges to new heights. During the event, Vice President Feng Feng held in-depth discussions with representatives from alliance members, including the University of York and the University of Liverpool, reaching a consensus on inter-university cooperation.



At the University of Pécs in Hungary, Vice President Feng Feng and his delegation met with Professor Gábor Kovács, Academician of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and Director of the Szentágothai Research Centre, as well as Professor András Fetter, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy. Academician Gábor Kovács and Professor András Fetter provided an overview of the University of Pécs, the Szentágothai Research Centre, and the Faculty of Pharmacy. Representatives from the university’s Institute of Molecular Medicine, Laboratory of Gene Biology, Department of Medical Laboratory Science, and Office for International Talent Development introduced their respective research fields and progress, expressing keen interest in practical collaboration with our university. Vice President Feng Feng presented a detailed introduction to our university’s recent developments and the State Key Laboratory of Reproductive Medicine and Offspring Health, highlighting the desire to establish in-depth collaboration in key research areas and talent cultivation. Following the discussions, the delegation visited the Szentágothai Research Centre and the National Laboratory for Human Reproduction to further explore potential areas of cooperation.
