On July 19, in the 3rd National Contest of Clinical Medicine Program (delivered in English) for International Students in China, Wang Xiaozhi, a faculty member from the Cardiology Department of the No.1School of Clinical Medicine was awarded the second prize. Leaders from International Department of the China Ministry of Education, International Department of China National Health Commission and China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) came to participate. This event was held in Jinan City.
The National Contest of Clinical Medicine Program (delivered in English) for International Students in China was hosted by International Sub-branch of Medical Education of CEAIE. It’s purported for improving the medical education quality and level for international students studying in China, and uplifting the comprehensive quality of young facultiesdelivering the clinical medicine program courses in English.
With the subject of Heart Attack, Wang Xiaozhi presented vivid illustration on the definition, identification, diagnosis, response and treatment of heart attack. He rolled into the teaching contents the philosophy of “healthy life style”.
The contest was participated by contestants from 43 colleges and universities offering clinical medicine program courses for international students in China. The contesting courses covered the internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, basic medicine and other fields and is wider-reaching that that of the previous session. Contestants adopted and demonstrated the a variety of pedagogic means and lively case sharing teaching approach. Their performance was evaluated from many dimensions including English proficiency, pioneering subject, pedagogic novelty and disseminate positive imaging and messaging friendship to China.
