The Department of International Cooperation & Exchange and Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs are functional departments responsible for various foreign affairs under the leadership of the Party Committee and administrative leadership of NMU. They are also departments under centralized management for implementing the national foreign policy and education foreign affairs policy, and handling the foreign affairs of NMU, shouldering the dual responsibilities of policy control and foreign affairs management. The main responsibilities are as follows:


Establish and maintain exchanges and cooperation between Nanjing Medical University (NMU) and overseas universities, scientific research institutions and other organizations; coordinate the reception of visiting foreign guests.


Architect and deploy the outbound foreign cooperation projects of NMU, handling the introduction and application of Sino-foreign cooperative education program.


Responsible for the approval and management of business trips abroad (across the border) and assisting personnel in fulfilling relevant procedures for business trips abroad (across the border).


Responsible for the appointment and management of foreign cultural and educational experts and assist in handling the application and review of foreign experts’ honorary degrees and titles.


Responsible for coordinating international academic exchanges and cooperation, as well as the application and approval of international academic conferences.


Carry out students’ exchange activities with foreign countries.


Responsible for foreign-related publicity and reporting.
