The Graduate School (Faculty) and Disciplinary Construction Office

Being a section-level administrative unit within NMU, theGraduate School is structured with a Graduate School Party Sub-Committee, a Student Affairs Officeand a Disciplinary Construction Office, both of which are sheltered in the shared office of the Graduate School. Currently, there are 21 staff members, including 2 professors/Ph.D. supervisors, 4 associate senior-titled faculties, and 11 intermediate-titled faculties; the Graduate School is structured with the Admissions Office, Training Office, Degree Office, Student Management and Employment Guidance Office.

Main responsibilities of the Graduate School (Faculty) and Disciplinary Construction Office: graduate student enrollment, education and degree-conferring; implement Top University Construction initiatives, conduct disciplinary construction and evaluation; transact degree-conferring right application and management; selection and management of post-doctoral fellows, construction and management of related post-doctoral bases; select and train master supervisor candidates. Sees to manage NMU postgraduate education, including ideological and political education, party building, campus culture, employment management, scholarships, grants, loans and exemptions, awards and merit appraisal, etc.

Upholding the NMU motto of “Pursue Excellence With Erudition, Reach Perfection with Morality”, guided by the TopUniversity Construction initiatives, the Graduate School (Faculty) and Disciplinary Construction Officetakes disciplinary construction as the road-map, takes the reform and innovation as the driving force. In the new era of graduate education reform,it seeks overall improvement of the  graduate education quality through the innovating the education philosophy, education model, education quality assurance andmanagement.
