On April 8th, 2019, President Shen Hongbingand Vice President Lu Xiang met the delegation of Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) led by Dean Bjorn Gustafsson of Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged ideas about further cooperation on undergraduate and graduate students’ exchange program, PhD jointly training program and scientific research platform.
President Shen Hongbing welcomed the delegation and introduced NMU’s development and achievements in recent years. He expected that, based on the Memorandum of Understanding signed two years ago, the two universities would continue to deepen development and cooperation on communication between teachers and students, establishing scientific research platform and transforming medical cooperation. Dean Bjorn Gustafsson expressed his gratitude to the warm reception of NMU, and briefed the development of his faculty. He said Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences was longing for new progress and further cooperation with NMU. Relevant personnel of the Graduate School, Department of Teaching Affairs, Department of Science & Technology, Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, School of Public Health, the First School of Clinical Medicine, School of Medical Imaging, School of Rehabilitation Medicine, School of Nursing and School of Marxism were accompanied.
The guests also visited the Exhibition of the History of NMU, Medical Simulation Center and Animal Core Facility as well. Then the two sides had a discussion on hospital management, scientific innovation and Sino-foreign cooperative education at the affiliated Sir Run Run Hospital and School of Public Health.
President Shen Hongbing signed the cooperation agreement with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of NTNU on the China (Jiangsu) Norwegian Scientific Innovation Cooperation Forum.
