Systematic Anatomy

As a key basic subject, the teaching quality of Systematic Anatomy makes effects on other basic courses and clinical medicine subjects. During the whole teaching process, we have set a goal of “teaching efficiency comes first” with using and improving all kinds of methods to promote our teaching innovation as well as creation.

Ⅰ.English medium teaching, pictures, models and broadwritting are approches used for the teaching process. From the first semester of academic year 2009-2010, interactive whiteboard had been introduced as a teaching method by our department. This application assists teachers to carry out activities around the platform without staying at the computer operation desk all the time, and it saves teaching time as well as make the teaching process active owing to its convenient operation.

Ⅱ.Construction of “Human Anatomy Self-study Examination System” provides students an all-round and multi-leveled platform to self-study.

Ⅲ. Multi-media coursewares with pictures and videos transfer abstract concepts into concrete points and ensure students get a better understanding of difficult points.

Ⅳ.Anatomy laboratories have been opened to students during the daytime for observing specimens. With innovation of teaching methods and construction of resources, our teaching effects have reached a great achievement. Anatomy Department began to make English-medium coursewares and apply them to teaching since 2004, and we also updated Chinese edition coursewares .Currently, the 5th edition English-medium courseware of Systematic Anatomy has been used. In 2005, the 2nd edition English-medium courseware of Systematic Anatomy was awarded the Excellent Courseware Prize by Jiangsu Association of Anatomy Sciences.In 2015, Systematic Anatomy was awarded the English-medium Excellent Course at the provincial level.In 2017, Systematic Anatomy was awarded the English-medium Excellent Course at the national level.
