Mr. Jianan Li, professor, chief physician, PhD Student Supervisor, International Associate of the National Academy of Medicine (USA). Prof. Li is the First President of Rehabilitation Medicine School and Director of Rehabilitation Medicinecenter of Jiangsu Province Hospital. Prof. Li obtained his master’s degree in sports medicine from Nanjing Medical University in 1983, further studied as fellowship in Rehabilitation Medicine in Australia from 1988 to 1992, as Senior Visiting Scholar in Moss Rehab Hospital and Thomas Jefferson University Health System, Philadelphia, USA from 2000 to 2001.
Prof. Li used to be the president of International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ISPRM) from 2014 to 2016, Chairman of Chinese Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from 2014 to 2017. Now he is the Vice President of Asia Oceanian Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (AOSPRM),Vice Chairman of Stroke Committee of Experts of National Health and Family Planning Commission of PRC，Chairman of Rehabilitation Medicine,Capacity building and continued education subcommittee of National Health and Family Planning Committee，Chairman of Sub-Committee of Rehabilitation Medicine, the Chinese Non-Government Medical Institutions Association, Vice Chairman of Chinese Geriatrics Society, Vice Chairman of Council of Chinese Medical Science award, member of the 8th Council China Association for Science and Technology, President of Jiangsu Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, Chief editor of Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine, associate editor of Journal of Rehabilitation of Medicine and editor of Sports Medicine and Health Science.
Prof. Li is specialized in cardiovascular rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation (spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, and brain injury), motor analysis and disordered motor control. Prof. Li completed 4 National Nature Science Foundations, and 13 national and provincial scientific research projects. Prof. Li published 365 papers in national and international academic journals as first or corresponding author, including 35 SCI papers, and accomplished 64 books and monograph as chief editor, associate editor or editor. Prof. Li received a third prize of Chinese Medical Prize, second prize and a third prize of Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Progress Award, a second prize and a third prize of Jiangsu Medical Prize, and received a National Scientific and Technology Excellence Award in 2010. In 2014, Prof. Li received the 9th Chinese Medical Doctor Award, an outstanding contribution award by Stroke Screen and Prevention Committee of National Health and Family Planning Commission, a National Excellent Teacher Award, and an outstanding contribution award by Jiangsu Province Health and Family Planning Commission.
