The founding conference of the Nepal Chapter of NMU Alumni Association was held in Katmandu, Nepal on December 3, 2016. It was attended by directors from NMU Development Committee Office, Department of International Cooperation & Exchange, the Second School of Clinical Medicine and representatives of Nepali alumni.
In the conference, they announced a Reply of Consent to Establishing the Nepal Chapter of NMU Alumni Association and a congratulation letter from the central chapter of the alumni association. A flag of alumni association was awarded to the Nepali chapter. Participants elected a president, vice president, secretary-in-general and directors and then approved by voting the Charter of NMU Alumni Association in Nepal. Through communication and interaction, the alumni showed their determination to fulfill all the tasks of the association while keeping a close link with NMU, thus making a great contribution to the development of the alma mater.
The delegation paid a visit to the Affiliated Hospital of the Medical School of Katmandu University, Nepali Orthopedics Hospital and Civil Service Hospital of Nepal. They exchanged ideas on such issues as international medical cooperation, education for overseas students and short-term training.
