The Science and Technology Development Center of Chinese Ministry of Education announced its pick of recipients of Outstanding Scientific Research Achievements Awards (Science and Technology) of 2016 on December 1. Nanjing Medical University got five awards. Two projects from Professor Sun Beicheng’s team and Professor Ji Yong’s team won the first prizes of natural science, two projects from Professor Zhang Zhengdong’s team and Professor Han Xiao’s team won the second prizes of natural science, while Professor Hu Zhibin won the prize for young researchers.
Outstanding Scientific Research Achievements Awards (Science and Technology) include award for natural science, award for technological inventions, award for science and technology progress and award for young researchers. The Ministry of Education awarded 309 projects (including 116 first prizes and 193 second prizes) and 9 young researchers this year.
