This course was taught by Prof. Donald L Hill who is from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Hill has been devoted to scientific writing and editing for many years and he also teaches the same course in his home university. He has deep knowledge of how to apply the language properly and rich writing and teaching experience. During his long-term collaboration with Chinese academic institutions, he has identified the difficulties that Chinese researchers often come across in English paper writing. Accordingly, he focused on the characteristics, methods and common mistakes in scientific writing during his lectures and received warm feedback from the audience.
