President Wilson of Wayne State University Visits NMU

Dr. Masao Roy Wilson, the President of Wayne State University, led a delegation to visit NMU on August 30th, 2016. They were received by President Shen Hongbing, Vice President Lu Xiang and directors or deans of School of Basic Medical Sciences, School of Health Policy & Management, Graduate School and Department of International Cooperation & Exchange.

President Shen Hongbing welcomed the WSU delegation and introduced the recent development of NMU. President Wilson introduced the international student training in WSU and expected more cooperation with NMU in student exchange and joint training programs. Both parties made key discussion on joint PhD training programs and shared opinions in the fields of short term visit, summer school, research training, hospital observation, international courses and physician training, and achieved cooperation consensus.

During the visit, the guests also paid a visit to School of Public Health and the affiliated Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital.

NMU and WSU established their partnership in 2009. Recently, both parties have deepened the mutual collaboration and exchange. More than 30 faculty members and more than 40 students have paid mutual visits and exchanges since 2009.
