On the afternoon of July 28, 2016, Chen Qi, Party Secretary of Nanjing Medical University, gave a lecture on party building studies in the Second Affiliated Hospital of NMU. Chen Chunyan, Party Secretary of the Hospital, hosted the activity.
The theme of his lecture was ‘Learn the Spirits of Important Speeches Made by General Secretary Xi Jinping and Enhance the Construction Capacity of Affiliated Hospitals’. Chen Qi elaborated on the significance, tasks, demands and overall targets of party building studies. He illustrated the main structure, spirits and essence of Xi Jinping’s speeches from such aspects as core ideas, fundamental themes, striving goals, basic thinking, strategic blueprint and development concepts. He emphasized on the guidance of five development concepts for reform and development.
Considering the reality of the Second Affiliated Hospital and its targets during the nation’s 13th five-year plan, Chen Qi put forward specific requirements for implementing the spirits of Xi Jinping’s speeches and promoting such works as medical education, discipline or department construction, scientific research, and party building. Chen Qi pointed out that learning the spirits of Xi Jinping’s important speeches is not only the specific requirement and significant content of party building studies, but also an essential route and an inner demand for promoting the reform and development of NMU and its affiliated hospitals. Chen Qi expected that all CPC members should seize the chance of this learning activity, and play an important and pioneering role in all organizations. We should work hard, remember original ideas and move forward, thus contributing wisdom and energy to the development of the Hospital as well as Nanjing Medical University.
Hospital leaders Ji Guozhong and Chen Chunyan respectively made speeches and expressed heartfelt thanks for university leaders’ care and support. Chen Chunyan hoped that the staff should grasp the essence of Chen Qi’s lecture, protect the interests of the Hospital, play an exemplary role, promote development to a higher level, and shoulder the responsibility of an affiliated hospital. Ji Guozhong, President of the Second Affiliated Hospital, said that we should make consistent efforts during the period of the 13th five-year plan, keep pace with the development of NMU, thus making greater contributions to NMU.
