Faith shapes youth and oath demonstrates responsibility. The celebration of the 97th anniversary of May 4th Movement was held in Yuhuatai Martyrs’ Cemetery in Nanjing on the morning of May 4th, 2016. Hu Zhibin, a professor of Nanjing Medical University, is one of the brilliant youths to be awarded Jiangsu Youth May 4th Medal. This is the first time that a teacher from Nanjing Medical University received this honor. Hu Zhibin presented membership cards and badges to new members of the Communist Youth League. Huo Xiang, a 1999 NMU alumnus and deputy director of the Institute of Acute Infectious Diseases of Jiangsu Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, was also awarded this medal.
Jiangsu Youth May 4th Medal is the highest honor awarded by Jiangsu Provincial Communist Youth League and Jiangsu Youth Federation. 20 brilliant youths were awarded the medal this year. Up to now, 11 batches of outstanding youths have received such honor, representing various groups in economic and social constructions who performed extraordinary works with a deep influence on society.
