On December 18th, the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between NMU and Sinobioway Group Co.,Ltd. was held in the meeting room on Wutai campus of our University. And it was attended by Ren Yanshen, the former Deputy Secretary of provincial CPC and Chairman of the NMU Board of Education, leaders of NMU, including Chen Qi, Shen Hongbing, Zhang Zhufan, and Li Jianqing, representatives from Sinobioway Group, Pan Aihua, the Chairman, Yang Xiaomin, the President, Cao Wenbo, the General Manager of Anhui Sinobioway Economic Research Institute Co., Ltd., and others from departments of both the university and the group. Li Jianqing, vice-president of NMU, presided the ceremony.
At the ceremony, President Shen Hongbing delivered a welcome and gave an overview of NMU’s achievements on discipline development, scientific research talent cultivation and so on. Then He signed the agreement with Yang Xiaomin. Zhang Zhufan and Cao Wenbo co-signed the cooperation agreement of constructing Translational Medicine Research Institute. After that, the group donated “Weiming Scholarship” to our university. And Chen Qi awarded the donation certification and vice-chairman offer of the NMU Board of Education to the Group. Then Zhang Zhufan announced the formation of NMU Sinobioway Translational Medicine Research Institute. Sheng Hongbin and Pan Aihua together inaugurated the research institute.
Pan Aihua gave an overview of Sinobioway Group on bio-medicine. He wished for a mutual benefit for both sides to develop further in the way of combining the abundant resources of NMU and advanced technical force of the Group.
Chen Qi expressed thanks to the Group for its supporting our university, and stated that the agreement would bring new opportunities for the development of our university. The cooperation between the school and the enterprise, on the one hand, was good for schools to run in a more open way and serve the society, on the other hand, was an important approach for enterprises to conduct technology innovation and therefore enhance the core competitiveness. Chen Qi hoped that NMU and the Group could finally find a new way to promote both sides through innovating talent-cultivating mode and cooperation mode on industry, education and research.
After the ceremony, Pan Aihua gave an academic report to the students as a visiting professor, the subject of which was “Step two footprints, Realize three dreams”.
