The 2014 annual seminar for medical textbooks’ construction in colleges and universities was held in Beijing on November29th. In the meeting, People’s Medical Publishing House launches the first medical iMooc platform worldwide, namely, the Official Website “iMooc” of Chinese Medical Education Association. Two courses, doctor-patient communication and physiology, undertaken by Nanjing Medical University are among the six pilot courses on the platform.
Early this year, China Association of Medical Textbooks’ Construction in Colleges and Universities and People’s Medical Publishing House has established “iMooc” Union in medical education. The members come from hundreds of medical universities and colleges nationwide. Prof. Shen Hongbing, President of NJMU, is the vice director of this union. Gao Xingya, Wang Jinfan, Cui Yan and Hu Zhibin, professors of NJMU, are committee members.
