On November 4th 2013, the Nanjing municipal government held a ceremony to award scholarships to international students. Four international students from the NMU Third School of Clinical Medicine received scholarships, namely Anastasia Jesika (Indonesia), Zekaria Iyan (Indonesia), Reinard Iskandar (Indonesia), and Aiman Khan (India). Undergraduate Aiman Khan made a speech representing the four at the award ceremony.
This was the first time that the Nanjing municipal government has awarded a scholarship to international students. Each undergraduate and postgraduate received a one-off scholarship of 10,000RMB and 20,000 RMB respectively.
