President Chen led a delegation to visit five universities of Taiwan

From November 26 to 30, 2012, NMU Party Secretary and President, Professor Chen Qi, led a delegation to visit five famous Taiwan universities: the Medical College of Taiwan University, National Yang Ming University, Zhongshan Medical University, Tzu Chi University and Taipei Medical University. They were warmly welcomed by the director of the center for international affairs Li Caikun, the Medical College of Taiwan University, National Yang Ming University Principal Liang Gengyi, Zhong Shan Medical University President Zhou Mingren and President Lai Deren, Tzu Chi University President Wang Ben Rong and Taipei Medical University director Hong Qi chang and vice president Chen Daliang. The two sides talked in-depth and sought cooperation on interscholastic programs, such as the discipline development, academic research, teaching reform and students exchange training. Vice president Lu Xiang, the Dean of School of Stomatology, directors of Graduate School, Office of Academic Affairs, and International Cooperation and Exchange Office also joined the visit.
During the visit, President Chen and the leader of Zhong Shan Medical University inked a cooperation agreement. Both sides wished for further cooperation, exploring the possibility of becoming sister university with Tzu Chi University.
Fan Peizhen, National Yang Ming University Professor invited the members of the delegation to attend the "2012 Taiwan medical education and academic exchange seminar", President Chen, Director Zhou Jianwei, Director Gao Xingya, Director Xu Shan delivered speeches at the seminar.
