First Session of Renal Pathophysiology Seminar held in Nanjing


Chinese Society of Renal Pathophysiology held a preparatory meeting and the First Symposium on Renal Pathophysiology in Nanjing on May 20th, 2018. The symposium was organized by Chinese Society of Pathophysiology and hosted by the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University. Professor Liu Zhihong, an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Professor Chen Qi, Vice Chairman of Chinese Society of Pathophysiology, and other experts from nearly 40 domestic hospitals attended the meeting.

Brilliant lectures were presented by Professor Yang Junwei from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, Professor Chen Min from Peking University First Hospital, Professor Zeng Ke from the School of Life Sciences of Nanjing University, and Professor Zhang Aihua from the Affiliated Children's Hospital of Nanjing Medical University. The themes included Recognition of Renal Fibrosis in the Perspective of Cell Energy Metabolism, Nosogenesis of Secondary Vasculitis, Protection and Mechanism of Signal Regulatory Protein α on podocyte, and Role of Gene Tests in Precision Medicine on Renal Diseases.

Chinese Society of Renal Pathophysiology, a subsidiary of Chinese Society of Pathophysiology, was jointly advocated by renowned experts from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, Nanfang Hospital affiliated with Southern Medical University, Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University, the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, and Peking University First Hospital. Its establishment will promote discipline development, enhance academic exchanges, nurture outstanding talents and create an interactive platform for deeper research in major problems in renal field, thus advancing insights and plans for diagnosis and treatment that will benefit patients.
