NMU Leaders Receive EPU Delegation


Led by Wolf-Dieter Rausch, Professor and Chairman of Eurasia Pacific Uninet , the EPU delegation visited Nanjing Medical University on May 10th, 2018. They were received by Ji Yong, Vice President of NMU, as well as officials from Department of International Cooperation & Exchanges and the Graduate School.

  

On behalf of Nanjing Medical University, Vice President Ji Yong presented a warm welcome to EPU delegation and briefly introduced the development of the university. Feeling delighted for his second visit, Professor Wolf-Dieter Rausch gave a high appraisal to NMU’s rapid development. The two sides conducted deep discussions on doctoral and post-doctoral scholarship programs, summer schools and research collaborations in the fields of medicine and life science. To respond to the strategy of national cooperation, both sides will deepen the contacts in key areas and expand cooperative scope.

  

During the period, the delegation visited the Exhibition of NMU History.

  

Founded in 2000, Eurasia Pacific Uninet has been supported by Austrian Federal Ministry for Science and Research and Austrian Agency for International Cooperation in Education and Research (OeAD-GmbH). It is the largest and predominant academic association in Europe. EPU aims to establish contacts and scientific partnerships between Austrian universities and member institutions in East Asia, Central Asia, South Asia and the Pacific Region. NMU became its member in October 2009. Up to now, several students have already successfully applied for doctoral and post-doctoral scholarships. Besides, NMU has participated in summer schools.
