On the afternoon of February 17, our university held the annual work seminar of Wuxi Medical Center and the launching ceremony of the Clinical Research Center in Wuxi People’s Hospital. Hu Zhibin, President of NMU, Xia Yankai, Vice President of NMU, Qin Yongxin, Vice Mayor of Wuxi Municipal People’s Government, Guo Yi, Deputy Director of Wuxi Municipal Health Commission, attended the seminar. Heads of Wuxi Medical Center, Affiliated Wuxi People’s Hospital, Affiliated Wuxi Center for Disease Control and other departments were also present. The seminar was hosted by Xia Yankai, Vice President of NMU and director of Wuxi Medical Center.
At the meeting, Jin Guangfu, Deputy Director of Wuxi Medical Center, and Chen Yun, Deputy Director of Wuxi People’s Hospital, respectively introduced the platform construction of Wuxi Medical Center and clinical research center. Ding Sheng, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Wuxi People’s Hospital, and Jiao Jiandong, Director of Wuxi Center for Disease Control and Prevention, introduced the construction and development of the hospital and center respectively.
Deputy Director Guo Yi put forward work requirements on how to improve the effectiveness of scientific and technological work, increase personnel training, strengthen the construction of provincial clinical key specialties and system optimization.
In his speech, President Hu Zhibin affirmed the achievements made by Wuxi Medical Center, Wuxi People’s Hospital and Wuxi CDC in the past year. In the face of the development blueprint drawn in the New Year, he hoped that all sectors should strengthen to be data-driven, optimize development indicators, make in-depth analysis of national examination data, identify gaps, and formulate targeted optimization measures. We have to build a firm foundation to ensure that talent comes first, and through the establishment of rules and regulations, we will grasp the construction of teaching, scientific research and other team building, laying the foundation for high-quality development of talents. It is necessary to give full play to the advantages of the “dual-employment system”, make good use of the dual-employees, and promote the overall improvement and all-round development of member sectors.
After the meeting, the leaders visited the Wuxi Clinical Research Center and unveiled its official opening.
