On the afternoon of January 16th, Hu Gang, member of the Standing Committee of CPPCC National Committee, and Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, made an inspection of Nanjing Medical University (NMU). Also in attendance were Jin Shi, a member of CPPCC National Committee and the Central Committee of the China Democratic League (CDL), Vice Chairman of the CDL Jiansu Provincial Committee and Vice President of Southeast University, Ge Yurong, Deputy Secretary-General of the CPPCC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, Ge Daokai, Director of Committee on Education, Science, Health, and Sports of the CPPCC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, along with Vice Directors Wang Xingguo, Zhao Jun, and Dong Shu. Cao Yumei, a member of the Standing Commitee the CPPCC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and Deputy Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, Qin Yinlin, a member of the CPPCC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and Chairman of Jiangsu Carephar Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, were also in the inspecting team. University leader Hu Zhibin received the inspectors for discussion, which was chaired by Vice President Feng Feng.
President Hu Zhibin welcomed the arrival of Vice Chairman Hu Gang and his team, expressing gratitude for the long-term care and support that the CPPCC Jiangsu Provincial Committee has provided. He reported to the visitors on the recent developments of NMU in talent cultivation, discipline construction, and scientific research as well. Vice Chairman Hu Gang praised the CPPCC members of NMU for their dedication. He emphasized the importance of implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping's ideology on the Party's united front work in the new era. He also urged NMU to adhere to the 'Four Leading' and 'Four New' tasks outlined by General Secretary Xi Jinping for Jiangsu, using them as a guide and fundamental principle.
