On July 12, in Jiangning Campus, NMU hosted the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement with SEEMINE International Medical Corporation Ltd (hereafter abbreviated as the SEEMINE Medical). The ceremony was attended by the leaders: including executives from SEEMINE Medical: Board Chairman, Su Chunguang and General Manager, Ma Taolin;leaders from NMU: including Wang Changqing and Ding Qiang. The event was also joined by other executives and leaders of both parties. The ceremony was moderated byDing Qiang, Vice President of Nanjing Medical University.
In the opening speech, Wang Changqin, Secretary of NMU pointed out that with the great improvement of economic and social development, health is increasingly important to people and national security. Actively expanding all-around cooperation in the general health is a cause necessitated by the reality and called on by the development trends. In recent years, NMU has been mapping the new development situation and continuously expanding cooperation, building up new development momentum in talent development, academic research, social services and other fields. Wang Changqin expects both parties will follow the principle of mutual trust and mutual benefit, seek for common benefits and interests over the demands of common value and common development, succeed in securing both economic and social benefits, and jointly make due contributions to the construction of “Healthy China”.
Su Chunguang, Board Chairman of SEEMINE Medical, made the opening speech. In his speech, he pointed out that Nanjing Medical University has become the “bellwether” in the development of Chinese medical education and medical& healthcare services and secured remarkableachievementsin recent years. SEEMINE Medical is a Chinese high-tech enterprise specialized in the research and development of shape memory alloy medical devices. With its strong R&D, production and sales capabilities in the fields of health care, health rehabilitation, health medicines and foods and others, SEEMINE Medicalhas developed extensive scientific research cooperation with many domestic universities and professional research institutes. Su Chunguang wishes that both parties can conduct full cooperation in more frontier innovation research domains and output more innovation outcomes to benefitpeople.
The strategic cooperation agreement was signed by the representatives from both parties: Ma Taolin, General Manager of SEEMINE Medicaland Ding Qiang, Vice President of NMU. Zhao Pei,General Manager of SEEMINE Medicaland Director Yue Guofeng signed the donation agreement. Wang Changqing, Secretary of NMU, honored the donation certificate to Su Chunguang,Board Chairman of SEEMINE Medical.
Both parties also made in-depth discussions on topics of university-enterprise cooperation means, academic research cooperation and achievement commercialization, etc.
During his stay in NMU, Su Chunguang, Board Chairman of SEEMINE Medical also visited NMUHistory Museum.
