From April 14th to 15th, Professor Maiken Nedergaard, co-director of the Translational Neuroscience Center of URMC, visited Nanjing Medical University. She was warmly received by vice President Ji Yong and professors from the Department of International Cooperation & Exchange and the Department of Science & Technology.
Ji introduced the university profile, scientific research, discipline development and training programs of NMU, and Professor Nedergaard showed her respect for the rapid development of NMU in recent years.
During her visit, Professor Nedergaard paid a visit to the History Exhibition Museum and Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Neurodegenerative Diseases, and made an academic report entitled “The Glymphatic System” to teachers and students.
As a world-famous neurologist, Professor Maiken Nedergaard has been honored as Academician of The Royal Danish Academy of Science and Liberal Arts, Academician of The Royal Spanish Academy of Pharmacy, and member of The Academy of Europe.
