Led by Wang Changqing, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing Medical University, a delegation paid an academic and friendly visit to Indonesia where NMU established its first overseas teaching hospital. The delegation was crewed with the directors of the Department of International Cooperation & Exchanges and the School of Stomatology.
During the visit, Professor Wang Changqing delivered a pre-meeting keynote speech co-hosted by PRIMA University and the Committee of International Health and Natural Science. In his speech themed “Healthy China Construction and Medical Education Reform”, the accomplishments NMU has made in education, teaching and research were cited to elucidate the connotation of Healthy China and the direction of medical education reform. Yan Bin, Vice Dean of the School of Stomatology, gave a lecture “Virtual Reality Simulation Training in Dental Education” in English.
In Royal PRIMA hospital, the delegation met NMU students as interns there. Besides, further cooperation plans were discussed between NMU and Dr. I Nyoman E. Lister, founder of PRIMA University and the affiliated hospital group.
During the visit, the delegation also met Ms. Qiu Weiwei, Consul General of China in Medan and Professor Dian Armanto, Education Specialist in Sumatra. They showed their praise for the cooperation between NMU and Indonesia in medical education and the hope for profounder cooperation.
