Research Interests
Xu Qin has been dedicated to the study of clinical nursing for more than ten years. Focusing in the surgical nursing research field, she was interested in improving nursing care by transferring research findings into clinical practice. Research interests and experience in metabolism and nutrition of surgical patients, evidence-based practice in critically ill patients, nutrition support for perioperative patients and psychosocial support for cancer patients made her once win the third prize of Jiangsu Province Progress Prize and Nanjing Progress Prize in Science and Technology, the second award of New Technology Introduction Prize of Provincial Health Office, the first prize and the second prize of the Teaching Achievements of Jiangsu Province. In addition, as an editorial board member, she participated in writing “Surgical Nursing (sixth edition)”, which is the ministry of health programming teaching material for nursing undergraduate course. To date, she has trained more than 30 graduate students and published more than 50 representative academic papers.
