Professional Biography:-
Professor Yong Ji was awarded the bachelor degree in Medicine in 1991, and the PhD degree in cardiovascular pharmacology in 1998 from Nanjing Medical University.
Dr. Ji was granted by French Ministry of Science and completed the postdoctoral training in French National Academy of Medical Sciences (INSERM U464) and Marseille Mediterranean University from 2000-2002 . Then Dr Ji was granted by Welcome Trust funding and worked as a research fellow In King's College London in UK from 2002 to 2004 . Dr. Ji joined Nanjing Medical University as the full-time professor since 2004.
Professor Yong Ji Is active in research of cardiovascular pharmacology, focusing on gasotransmitters - nitric oxide and hydrogen sulfide effects on various cardiovascular diseases s , including vascular endothelial dysfunction, myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury, myocardial hypertrophy, diabetes and atherosclerosis. The research group is currently Focus on S-nitrosylation and S-sulfhdration of proteins by NO and H2S respectively . He has published over 80 research papers in many international prestigous journals, including Circ Res, Nat Commun, Proc Natl Acad Sci USA, Diabetes, Antioxid Redox Signal, Cardiovasc Res, J Mol Cell Cardiol, Br J Pharmacol , and etc.
