On May 29th, 2018, sponsored by the Youth Teachers' Federation of Nanjing Medical University, China Pharmaceutical University Youth Returnee Scholar Association, Youth Teachers' Federation of NMU Pharmacy School and Graduate Student Union, the 3rd Young Scientist Forum was successfully held. The Vice President of NMU, Prof. Shan Xu, and approximately 200 participants including relevant department and school leadership, guests and faculties and student representatives attended the forum.
In the forum, Vice President Shan Xu delivered a welcoming speech and introduced the development history of NMU. She stated that the young scientists were the main force of current and future scientific research. After two years of success in conducting Young Scientist Forum, the forum strongly resulted in the rapid promotion of scientific research skills of NMU young faculty members and postgraduates and has already became an important content of NMU youth talents team construction. Prof. Xu expected that the youth faculties can take full advantage of the platform to profound the learning exchange, cultivate scientific research awareness and strengthen innovative thinking. Moreover, she suggested that the youth faculty members should insist on problem-oriented method to follow up the academic frontier and make contribution to the university new around high quality development with their steady work, entrepreneurial spirit and innovative achievements.
This year’s forum had three sessions. In the clinical medicine and pharmacology session, in order to probe into the frontier and progress of the joint research in clinical medicine and pharmacology and technology transfer, the sponsor invited young scientists to present 6 brilliant keynotes, including Prof. Yong Yang and Prof. Xiaolian Sun from China Pharmaceutical University, Researcher Dali Li from East China Normal University, Prof. Huabing Chen from Soochow University, Dr. Liwen Zhao from Nanjing Sanhome Pharmaceutical Company, Prof. Yun Chen from Nanjing Medical University.
In addition, NMU appointed Yong Yang, Xiaolian Sun, Dali Li, Huabing Chen and Liwen Zhao adjunct professors.
