Mr. Anil Kumar Rai, Consul-General of the Consulate General of the Republic of India in Shanghai, visited NMU on Dec. 1st, 2017. Vice President Wang Lin met with Mr. Anil Kumar Rai.
Vice President Wang Lin expressed his warm welcome to Mr. Anil Kumar Rai and introduced the development of NMU. The dean of School of International Education introduced the education of overseas students in the university and the situation of Indian graduates and current students on campus. Mr. Anil Kumar Rai extended his gratitude to the University for its help and support to Indian students. He said that with the rise in international rankings of NMU, more and more international students will be attracted to study in China. China and India are adjacent and are both populous countries and the international diversification of both countries is continuing to develop. He said he is expecting more opportunities for cooperation in medical education and scientific research. He hoped that with the increase of India students in China and the continuous improvement of understanding between the two peoples, further progress of exchanges and cooperation in the area of health will also be made.
After the talks, Mr. Anil Kumar Rai visited the Exhibition of the History of NMU and held cordial discussions with some Indian student representatives.
