On November 27, 2017, Professor Michael Strong, Dean of Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University, Canada,led a delegation to visit NMU. President Shen Hongbing and Vice President Wang Lin met with the delegation respectively.
Professor Strong visited Nanjing as a member of the delegation of 2017 Ontario Business Mission to China to attend the Jiangsu Province - Ontario Economic and Technical Cooperation Fair. At the Fair, President Shen Hongbing, on behalf of NMU, and Professor Strong, on behalf of Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, signed a 2 + 2 joint doctoral training program agreement.
During the trip to Nanjing, Professor Strong visited Wutai and Jiangning campuses. On Wutai Campus, Vice President Wang Lin and Schulich delegation focused their discussions on the implementation of 2 + 2 joint doctoral training program. They also exchanged ideas on the 5th NMU-Western University Cooperative Forum, student & faculty exchange and Research cooperation. On Jiangning campus, Professor Strong and his colleagues conducted a promotion meeting of 2 + 2 doctoral programs for the teachers and students. They introduced the situation of Western University and Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry and carried out detailed presentations of student training and research practice at Schulich School.
