Professor Peter T. Fox led a delegation from Research Imaging Institute of University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio to visit NMU on Dec. 4th, 2017. President Shen Hongbing met with the delegation.
President Shen welcomed the delegation and introduced the recent development of the university. He hoped that the two parties could strengthen the collaboration in scientific research and talents exchanges. President Shen appointed Peter T. Fox adjunct professor of NMU and shared ideas with him on talents training, joint cooperative education, international teaching and science and technology transfer, and reached preliminary consensus in multiple aspects.
The Research Imaging Institute of University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is one of the world leading imaging institutes and has conducted neuro imaging research in the early times, which also has trained several world famous imaging experts including some from China. It is the siteof the editorial board of Human BrainMapping, a top magazine for imaging. Professor Peter T. Fox, director of the Institute, is the founder of brain imaging database and brain imaging data Meta-analysis method. He pioneered a variety of image data processing methods and reference standards and has a very high reputation and influence in neuroimaging field. By the end of 2016, he was appointed Honorary Director of Brain Functional Imaging Institute of NMU.
Heads of Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, Science and Technology Department, the Fourth School of Clinical Medicine, the Affiliated Brain Hospital attended the meeting.
