On Oct. 14th, 2017, Nanjing Regional Competition of the 3rd First Aid Competition for Jiangsu Universities was held in Nanjing. This competition was organized by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and Red Cross Society of China Jiangsu Branch. A student team from NMU won the first prize.
The provincial competition was composed of three regional competitions held respectively in Nanjing, southern Jiangsu and central Jiangsu. It focused on the evaluation of college students’ mastering of basic skills of first aid, with the purpose of encouraging them to study the skills of first aid and further enhancing their awareness of self-help and mutual aid. In recent years, NMU positively promotes the popularization and training work of first aid for college students, stresses the construction of first aid trainers and first aid volunteers as well as promotion of distinctive volunteer projects by relying on the NMU Branch of Red Cross Association and College Student First Aid Volunteer Team of NMU.
