NMU Achieves Good Results in National Computer Design Competition

From July to August, NMU students participated in the 10th National Computer Design Competition for College Students and achieved good results. Among them, ‘I shall do for you’, designed by Sun Hanyao, Qiu Yan and Xie Zhenhui, supervised by Hu Xiaowen and Ding Guipeng, and ‘Cats in a Lilliputian world’, designed by Su Lili, Yu Jiali and Hong Luoyuan, supervised by Wang Jianfen and Xu Xueyang, won the second prize respectively in the category of general digital media design which was hosted by Chengdu Medical College. Besides, ‘Health in the Clouds – health management system for college students’, designed by Zhang Rongxin, Liu Jiayue and Zhang Jing, supervised by Hu Jie and Zhao Yang, won a second prize in the category of software application and development which was hosted by Nanjing Normal University. In addition, ‘I shall do for you’ was the first project from NMU to be invited to give a report and demonstration for the excellent works.

The competition of 2017 was organized by Computer Teaching Advisory Board under the Ministry of Education (MOE) of the People’s Republic of China together with SoftwareEngineering Teaching Advisory Board (MOE), College Computer Course TeachingAdvisory Board (MOE), Advisory Sub-committee of Basic Computer Teaching for Arts in Higher Education and China Education Television. The competition was divided into 10 categories covering software application and development and others, which were held in colleges and universities in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing and Chengdu in the form of on-campus preliminary, provincial semi-final and national final. NMU students who were capable enough to compete with students from other domestic well-known universities such as Peking University, Wuhan University, Tongji University, Nanjing University, etc., fully showed their innovation qualities and fighting spirits.
