Overseas summer programs of 2017 for NMU undergraduate students came to a successful conclusion during the past summer vacation. These programs, covered 15 projects such as Jiangsu Provincial Scholarship Project for College Students Overseas Study, Summer School Project in the School of Biological Sciences of the University of Manchester (U.K.), Visiting Project of the University of Sidney (Australia), Visiting Project of McGill University (Canada), Exchange Project of Western University (Canada), Visiting Project of Creighton University (U.S.A.), etc., which attracted 95 undergraduate students to participate. Through the participation in overseas programs, students were benefitted a lot, not only experienced different education concepts and teaching methods, obtained prospective professional knowledge, but also broadened their international vision and improved their ability of cross-cultural communication.
In the recent years, NMU has been constantly strengthening the cooperation and exchanges with overseas higher institutions. With the advance publicity, recommendation, review and process management greatly optimized, the quantity and scale of overseas visiting projects has been continuously increased, which has further enhanced the internationalization level of NMU students’ cultivation.
