Dr. Brian J. Boom, CEO of CARF International, led a delegation to visit NMU on September 25th, 2017. Vice President Wang Lin and the dean of School of Rehabilitation Medicine received the guests.
Dr. Brian J. Boom introduced the development and situation of CARF and expected collaboration with the School of Rehabilitation Medicine in scientific research and teaching. Vice President Wang Lin introduced the basic development of NMU and held a discussion with CARF on further cooperation between both sides. The two parties reached an initial intent to found the cooperative relationship and signed an MoU.
CARF International is a private non-profit organization which was established on September 27th, 1966 in the US. After 50 years’ development, CARF has become the biggest and most professional organization to launch accreditation for rehabilitation and healthcare institutions. At present, CARF has more than 52,700 projects in 23,000 places across the world.
