NMU Holds 2017 International Symposium on the Endocrine and Rare Metabolic Diseases

The 2017 International Symposium on the Endocrine and Rare Metabolic Diseases, organized by the Key Laboratory of Rare Metabolic Diseases of NMU, was successfully held on September 28, 2017. The symposium was attended by Professor Chen Qi, former Party Secretary of NMU and a lead scientist of basic medicine, Professor Ji Yong, Vice President of NMU, officials from the Department of Science & Technology and the School of Basic Medical Sciences, as well as over 200 teachers and students from NMU and other universities.

On behalf of NMU, Vice President Ji Yong delivered a speech in the opening ceremony to extend his congratulations and stress the significance and influence of the symposium. 17 scholars and experts, including Professor Jay D Horton from Southwestern Medical Center and Professor Kong Xingxing from HMS-BIDMC, gave lectures on pathophysiological molecular mechanism and new drug development for endocrine and rare metabolic diseases. The symposium received high appraisal from attending experts as well as other scientific and technological personnel.
