NMU Gets Top Prize in Jiangsu Computer Design Competition for University Students

From May 19-21, an NMU team participated in the Jiangsu Computer Design Competition for University Students which was also the Preliminary Competition of Jiangsu Province for the 10th National Computer Design Competition for University Students. NMU students won one top prize, one first prize and one second prize. Besides, a teacher named Ding Guipeng was awarded the title of excellent supervisor. In addition, NMU was awarded the title of excellent organization for the first time. Three works made by NMU were all recommended to the national final competition.

Through selection by experts and evaluation on website, three groups from NMU were admitted to the final competition of Jiangsu Province. ‘I shall do for you’, designed by Sun Hanyao, Qiu Yan and Xie Zhenhui, supervised by Ding Guipeng, won the top prize in the category of general digital media design-interactive media. ‘Cats in a Lilliputian world’, designed by Su Lili, Yu Jiali and Hong Luoyuan, supervised by Wang Jianfen and Xu Xueyang, won a first prize in the category of general digital media design-digital photography and post processing. ‘Health in the Clouds –health management system for university students’, designed by Zhang Rongxin, Liu Jiayue and Zhang Jing, supervised by Hu Jie and Zhao Yang, won a second prize in the category of software application and development – website application and development.

The competition was organized by Computer Teaching Advisory Board under the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China together with other organizations. Competed in digital media, software application and development and other four categories, 26 works were selected as top prizes, 42 first prizes, 52 second prizes and 110 third prizes. The competition stimulates students’ interest and potential in acquiring knowledge and skills about computer, and nurtures the spirits of teamwork, innovation and entrepreneurship.
