A visiting professor and adjunct professor appointment ceremony was held in Suiyue Pavilion in Wutai Campus on April 3, 2017. It was attended by Martin B. Leon, the founder and chairman emeritus of the Cardiovascular Research Foundation and a professor of medicine at Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC), Xu Bo, Director and Professor of Department of Catheter Intervention Therapy in Fuwai Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Chen Qi, Party Secretary of Nanjing Medical University, and directors from the Department of International Cooperation & Exchange and the Third Clinical Medical School.
In the appointment ceremony, Chen Qi announced the decision and awarded the letters of appointment. Professor Martin B. Leon and Professor Xu Bo are respectively appointed as Visiting Professor and Adjunct Professor of Nanjing Medical University.
Secretary Chen Qi warmly welcomed the two professors and thanked them for their long-term support and help they offered in the field of cardiovasology. He expected that the two sides should deepen communication and cooperation by exchanging academic and research information, promote the construction of cardiovascular department, and thus enhance the capabilities of medicine, teaching and research.
