Dr. M. Jamal Deen, President of Academy of Science, Royal Society of Canada and Distinguished University Professor of McMaster University; Dr. Ning Huansheng, Vice Dean of the School of Computer & Communication Engineering, University of Science and Technology Beijing, visited NMU on March 10th, 2017. Vice President Li Jianqing, deans and directors from Department of Science & Technology, Department of International Cooperation & Exchange, School of Basic Medical Sciences including its Department of Biomedical Engineering received the guests.
During the meeting, Vice President Li made a brief introduction to NMU and Dr. Jamal Deen introduced McMaster University. The two parties made a thorough discussion on biosensor, biomedical engineering, and the construction of medical & health big data. Both expected to start exchange in these fields and promoted scientific cooperation.
During the trip, Dr. Jamal Deen paid visits to the Animal Core Facility and MedicalSimulation Center and gave an academic lecture for NMU faculty and students on “Smart Sensors for Ubiquitous Healthcare”.
