On February 22, 2017, the Online Teachers Training Center of the Higher Education Institutions published the results of the micro-teaching competition of medical courses in 2016. Nanjing Medical University harvested 27 awards, including 6 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 10 third prizes, 1 prize for teaching style, 1 prize for video production and 3 consolation prizes. NMU obtained the award of excellent organization in this competition for the second time.
The competition received 463 entries from 53 universities and colleges from all over the country. The judges selected 25 entries as first prize winners and 46 as second prize winners. Getting the most first prizes among the competing units, NMU demonstrates its features and achievements of new teaching model, new resources reform and construction, reflects young teachers’ basic teaching skills and their passion for teaching reform, and lays a firm foundation for such diverse teaching platforms as MOOC, SPOC and flipped classroom.
