The 3rd Amity International Symposium for Elderly Care Service and the 2nd Jinling International Nursing Forum was co-hosted by the School of Nursing, Amity Foundation and Department of Geriatrics of the First Affiliated Hospital of NMU in Nanjing from October 28 to 29, 2016. Lu Xiang, Vice President of Nanjing Medical University, attended the forum. A total of over 600 experts, scholars and nursing fellows from both home and abroad participated in the forum.
Concentrating on the theme of ‘Love, Sharing, Innovation, and Development’, the forum was composed of several keynote speeches on the management of chronic diseases and elderly care service given by nearly 30 eminent experts and scholars from the US, Germany, Canada, Japan and other countries or regions. Vice President Lu Xiang gave the first lecture entitled ‘The Elderly and Elderly Care Service in Healthy China’.
Centered on such concerns of the whole society as the management of health issues and chronic diseases for the elderly, end-of-life care and family care, the forum is a feast for the elderly care service field and has attracted wide attention from government departments, professional associations, universities and institutes.
