The Personnel Management Department’s responsibilities include:
1. To manage institution setup and post assignment; to work on declaration, examination, approval and verification of personnel quota
2. To draw up programs for teaching staff cultivation; to recruit teaching staff after evaluation for Nanjing Medical University (NMU), its affiliated hospitals and teaching hospitals and to grant them professional titles; to select, recommend and introduce programs of all kinds for talent development
3 To draw up recruitment programs for faculty members at all levels; to work on personnel recruitment, employment, placement, assessment, and training
4. To deal with matters, e.g. asking for leave, retirement, resignation, job transfer, for faculty members
5. To adjust and allocate salary and welfare benefits; to distribute merit pay; to audit and pay off policy-related allowance of all kinds
6. To recruit and manage unplanned labor
7. To soothe and subsidize family members of the passed-away; to assess the faculty member’s degree of disability caused at work
8. To manage faculty members’ personnel archives; to fill in and submit personnel statistics forms of all kinds
9. To deal with other personnel-related affairs
