NMU Students Won National Youth Award for Outstanding Research on Oral Biomedicine

The 2016 International Conference on Frontiers of Dental and Craniofacial Research and 2016 Chinese National Annual Conference on Oral Biomedicine were held in Dalian from Nov. 4th to 7th. In the selection of the Fifth National Youth Award for Outstanding Research on Oral Biomedicine during the conference, Nanjing Medical University won the best award since its first time to participate. A PhD student Guo Shuyu from the Department of Orthodontics, School of Stomatology of NMU (Supervisor: Professor Wang Lin) won the First Prize, and was invited to be one of the guest judges of the Sixth National Youth Award for Outstanding Research on Oral Biomedicine. A master student Zhang Yuxin from Department of Orthodontics, School of Stomatology of NMU (Supervisor: Associate Professor Ma Junqing) won the Third Prize of New Generation Award on Oral Biomedicine. A NMU teacher Ma Lan from the Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Oral Disease Research also won National Outstanding Youth Research Award.

Sponsored by the Society of Oral Biomedicine of Chinese Stomatological Association (CSA), the conference was hosted by Dalian Medical University. During the conference, many famous experts from home and abroad made key reports and discussed the most advanced scientific ideas and cutting-edge academic achievements in the field of oral biomedicine, such as Academicians Wu Zuze and Zhou Qi from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Cai Yang from the University of Southern California, and Prof. Dana Graves from the University of Pennsylvania. More than 800 representatives were present and over 2,000 people watched the live broadcast through the network.
