The award-granting ceremony of 2016 Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation was held in Beijing on October 21st. Professor Shen Hongbing of Nanjing Medical University won the Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of this foundation.
Established in 1994 by four patriotic Hong Kong financiers, namely Ho Sin Hang, Leung Kau-Kui, Ho Tim, and Lee Quo-wei, the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation aims to award outstanding Chinese scientific and technological staff. A total of 51 researchers are awarded this year, including 7 in the field of medicine.
Professor Shen Hongbing has engaged in the study of genomics and biomarkers in the occurrence and development of tumors. He has many achievements in the identification of cancer susceptibility genes, molecular classification, biomarkers and relevant translational research for accurate diagnosis and other aspects.
