The 5th national convention of Chinese Stomatological Association (CSA) was held in Shanghai on Sept. 27th, 2016. Guests from China Association for Science and Technology, National Health and Family Planning Commission, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning, Peking University Health Science Center, Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, Chinese Medical Doctor Association, China Volunteers Association, FDI World Dental Federation and representatives from South Korea, sister associations from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan areas also attended the conference.
New board members have been elected during the convention and Prof. Wang Lin has been elected vice president of CSA.
Founded in November 1996 in Beijing, CSA is a national level academic association and was initially set up as the dentistry branch of the Chinese Medical Association, which serves as the bridge to connect the stomatological professionals in China and has been a driving force for the advancement of oral and dental science of this nation. The purpose of this convention was term election and celebration of the 20th anniversary of CSA foundation. This Convention also elected the first vice president from Jiangsu Province.
