A preliminary contest of the First National Teaching Competition of Young MBBS Program Teachers, which was also the 6th English-medium Teaching Contest of Nanjing Medical University, was held on April 14, 2016. Vice President of NMU Wang Lin, representatives from School of International Education, Teaching Affair Department and other relevant schools attended the teaching event.
16 contestants from 11 departments participated in the one-day competition. All the contestants showed their wonderful performance with colorful teaching content and active teaching process. At the end of the contest, 2 first-prize winners, 3 second-prize winners and 5 third-prize winners were selected by the judge group. In addition, 2 Best Teaching Plan Prize winners were selected by the supervisors evaluating teaching plans before the contest.
On behalf of NMU, Vice President Wang Lin presented an overview of our achievements in educational internationalization and placed emphasis on special meaning of international education. He expressed his hope that all the youth teachers can improve their English-medium teaching skills and classroom teaching quality though continuous learning.
