The 7th National Clinical Skills Competition (East China Division) Successfully Held by NMU

The 7th National Clinical Skills Competition (East China Division), which was hosted by Nanjing Medical University, drew to a successful close on April 17th. A galaxy of experts were present at the closing ceremony of the competition, including the presiding judge Professor Chi Baorong, the ranking judge Professor Yang Jinhuathe vice president of Nanjing Medical University Professor Wang Lin, the supervisors of the competition, members of the expert panel and leaders of the relevant departments of the University.

During the competition that lasted for one and a half days, all the teams shined themselves by the perfection in both ethical and clinical skills standards. The presiding judge Chi Baorong, who gave professional comments on the performances of each team during the competition and expressed special appreciation of Nanjing Medical University for the all-round efforts in holding the competition, granted the University the Award of Great Organization Works for the Competition.

After several rounds of competitions, all the awards were settled as listed below: two excellent winners, three first prizes, five second prizes, twenty-two third prizes and twenty-two individual awards. The top ten teams in the competition, along with Nanjing Medical University as the host of this event, were qualified to compete in the final of the 7th National Clinical Skills Competition as the representatives of the East China Division.

It was the first time that the National Clinical Skills Competition (East China Division) was hosted by a medical university in Jiangsu Province. A series of innovations were adopted in the process, for instance, live coverage of the full program, test designs realistically recapitulating events and spots in a hospital, and organization works focusing on humanity care. These efforts gained positive recognition of the Organization Committee, the competing teams and observers from all 51 participating universities.
