Led by Chen Qi, the Chancellor of Nanjing Medical University and Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Biomedical Research (JBR), NMU delegation visited Chungbuk National University and Seoul National University in South Korea from March 22 to 25,2016. Directors of the editorial department of JBR and International Cooperation and Exchange Office joined this visit.
The delegation paid a visit to Chungbuk National University on March 23. Yeo-pyo Yun, President of the University, introduced the history and features of disciplines of Chungbuk National University. He hoped that the two universities seize the opportunity of collaboratively running the publication of JBR, and further establish all-dimensional cooperation relationship. JBR run by Chungbuk National University has been merged into JBR of Nanjing Medical University this year. The new editor-in-chief is from Nanjing Medical University while the associate editor is from Chungbuk National University. Two parties reached multiple consensuses in deepening bilateral cooperation.
NMU delegation visited Seoul National University on March 24. Myung-Haing Cho, an academician of South Korean Academy of Sciences and a professor in toxicology of Seoul National University, introduced the history of his University and scientific development of his own.
Ranked the first and the third respectively among comprehensive universities in South Korea, Seoul National University and Chungbuk National University have solid foundation and excellent capability for scientific research. This visit has promoted bilateral exchange and cooperation. In particular, the various collaborations with Chungbuk National University will facilitate the development of relevant disciplines and enhance the impact of Nanjing Medical University in South Korea.
